Oct 2013 Elle Decor Featuring Cameron Diaz Manhattan Apartment by Kelly Wearstler....

The October 2013 Elle Decor magazine features Cameron Diaz's West Village 2,400 square foot apartment, designed in collaboration with Kelly Wearstler.

Wearstler is known for her bold use of color, statement accessories, with a modern/edgy vibe.  While the apartment is a bit too modern for my taste overall, there are elements that I love.  With exception to the gorgeous emerald green kitchen, the palette incorporates primarily neutral tones with various textures and metallic accents such as gold and brass fixtures and finishes and a few pops of color.

Enjoy....

Dining Room - Love the circa 1960's Spanish light fixture and how the same colors in the custom parchment and brass dining table speak to those in paintings by Fabrice Penaux...

Kitchen - Brilliant emerald color mixes beautifully with the unlacquered brass backsplash and counter.  LOVE the accent gold trim around cabinetry to complement brass fixtures. Very interesting and unique ebony stained floors..

LOVE this bathroom with brass Greek-key motif on shower door, octagon shaped hammered brass sink, and beautiful pink onyx walls and counter...Also adore the chocolate brown and (pink/red) animal print wallpaper, perfect bathroom for this fashionista!
Guest Bedroom - Love the interesting texture provided by ceiling grid and monochromatic, neutral color palette...makes for a calm and soothing space.

Living Room...

Living Room - Love the unexpected pop of lemon yellow in the Milo Baughman swivel chair near window, vintage coffee table and stools and gorgeous de Gournay wall covering...

Master Bath - unique metallic effect provided by glass tiles by Ann Sacks...love the gold vanity knobs against the white drawers!

Master bedroom - Love the gilded paper on ceiling by de Gournay...interesting balance of light, neutral, metallic tones with dark ebony furniture and beams...
