Loving the Lucite and Brass Coffee Table...

A good friend sent me an inspiration photo for her living room re-do, and sure enough, it had a lucite and brass coffee table (the exact Jonathan Adler one I've been eyeing for a while)....So, I wanted to gather more inspiration pics with this fun and versatile furniture piece.  I love that its light and airy silhouette effortlessly floats in a room and allows (the often patterned rug underneath) to take center stage.  And, the metallic brass trim provides a more formal, glam texture to a space.  Although many of these lucite and brass tables are vintage (1st Dibs offers a variety), many designers are making newer contemporary versions (like the Jonathan Adler Jacques collection below)

But, first, I have to study this living room for a while...So much about this room I LOVE!! The indigo/deep-periwinkle blue is so cozy and soothing.  As a side note, we inherited a room in our new home approximately this color and I absolutely love it.  Luckily, our indigo and brick red Persian rug, furniture, coral lamps, etc. all fit well into the color scheme, but I love the quiet calm of this blue and cream room.  The mix of modern (coffee table, shell chandelier) and traditional (tufted sofa, artwork, chinoiserie vases, etc) is refreshing and as it turns out, many of these items are moderately priced via Horchow.  I would not have picked this chandelier outright, but it totally pops against the deep blue paint color.  The large-scale rug provides a fun graphic punch of pattern, and the brass elements (coffee table, sconces) give it a dressy vibe...LOVE this space all around!
