Two New AMAZING Rocky River Shops: Maison by Paysage and Sapphire Pear

I am not sure where I have been hiding lately, but I just found out there are several awesome new shops that recently opened in our little Rocky River neighborhood!!  I wanted to give a big shout out to my favorite two! Ever since we moved here from the shopping mecca of Atlanta, I have been wishing for more options on the West Side of Cleveland.  I literally went from having stores that I would not even set my foot into (so out of price range) to an area with plenty of the standard shops along the lines of Gap, BR, Ann Taylor, etc...but not too many shops with unique or interesting finds.

YET, lately, Cleveland's West Side has been booming with tons of great new shopping and restaurants, from new arrivals at Crocker Park (Athleta, Sur la Table, etc) to local delicious eateries such as Bomba Tacos and Rum, Mellow Mushroom Pizza, El Carnicero, Flipside Burgers, Humble Wine Bar, etc.  However, in terms of interior design boutiques the options were limited to a few little gift shops like the awesome Lovely Paperie, Plantation Home, Eclectic Home or Urban Home and Garden....somehow we were still missing that spot with cool lamps, bar carts, artwork, throw pillows etc....

WELL, today, I discovered two new awesome shops just a mile from home!

(1) Maison by Paysage....Evidently owners Richard and Jane Marquard, had Paysage, the beautiful high end home furnishings store in Rocky River several years ago (before we moved here), but then moved to the East Side.  Now, they have returned and I am so thankful!  The store is chic, elegant, and such a breath of fresh air....From their website store description, "we are offering many one-of-a-kind pieces in our curated collection as well as introducing many new product designs from the most talented creatives in our industry."

I was greeted by Jesse Marquard, and he was so friendly and helpful.  He even offered to pull up on his computer to show me pictures of some other products still located in their East side store...

I immediately fell for this beautiful light fixture that I decided needs a new home in our master bath!

(2) Sapphire Pear - Owner Barrie Spang opened this AMAZING shop, as described by her website, "Sapphire Pear is a home decor store and interior design studio in Rocky River, Ohio. We offer custom interior design for projects large and small."




I had ordered a yummy carry-out salad from neighboring Sweet Melissa, so I decided to pop in Sapphire Pear while I waited, and I immediately fell in love!! I entered via the back entrance, and I was charmingly greeted by this darling series of artwork along the wall. Evidently, the artist is from Paris, and she hand-paints these whimsical images on pages of old books.  It reminded me of the beautiful artwork of Cid Pear, whom I used for baby announcements several years ago.  These would be so darling in a nursery, child's room, or even a bathroom!  Congratulations to Barrie and her team!! You all did an AMAZING job on this beautiful, unique, and very refreshingly chic shop!

I took a few more photos of her shop, and everything was so beautifully arranged with fun pops of color, chinoiserie, animal prints, gold, lucite, cool light fixtures, etc.  It was SO much the aesthetic that I love!! Also, Ashley, who was working there today, could not have been more warm, welcoming, and informative about all of the interesting products.

Love the bold blue sofa and Dana Gibson chinoiserie throw pillows...also the fun accessories, decorative books, etc in the book shelves.

Gold painted rattan chairs + Zebra print = Perfection!!  Also, loved the VERY COOL Hinkley architectural light fixture above 

Emerald green bar cart and blue chevron lamp? Yes please!

One of these days I am going to pull the trigger on that Emerald Green IKEA sofa....here is another inspriation!
