Meghan Markle - What to Wear on the Big Day?

Good morning! It is royal wedding eve! I have to admit, I haven't been very consumed by all the media details and drama of this royal wedding (seriously who has the time?).

Yet, I always love to dish fashion, so I wanted to explore some picks for Meghan's wedding gown.  She often favors minimalistic silhouettes in her fashion choices.  Therefore, she MAY go the sleek/chic sheath route for her wedding gown. According to Antoinette Bueno, "In a 2016 interview with Glamour, Meghan said her favorite celebrity wedding dress of all time was the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's iconic Narcisco Rodriguez design when she married John F. Kennedy Jr., which Meghan described as "everything goals".  Meghan also told Glamour, "Classic and simple is the name of the game, perhaps with a modern twist.  I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic. Delphine Manivet and Christos Costarellos are faves of mine for their uniqueness and beauty. And I will always be a fan of Elie Saab. J. Mendel is spectacular as well, especially for more structural designs."

The latest news suggests Stella McCartney may be the designer of Meghan's gown...
could it be a simple-yet-chic column sheath?

I do think it would be very modern and interesting if she chose a simplistic design for the gown and allowed the focal point to be the dramatic detail in the tiara/veil. Yet, she is getting married in St. George's Chapel, the church in which Harry was christened, in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Clearly, this is a very formal, ROYAL event, and in this regard, I could see her wearing a gown with a bit more romance and drama.  The Queen evidently must approve of the design choice.  Many of the modern bridal designs feature elements (plunging necklines, side cut-outs, uber-sexy silhouettes) that may not lend themselves to a royal wedding...Also, she has a very slim/petite frame, I fear she may get lost in such a grand cathedral venue if she wears a slinky mermaid or sheath gown style.  So, I predict it will have a more voluminous skirt (or at a minimum A-line), and it will be romantic, with some dramatic lace or applique detail, yet modest and somewhat traditional in silhouette.

Victor and Rolf - Love the simplicity and elegance of this, perhaps with a less plunging V-neckline
Christos Costarellos - one of Meghan's fav wedding gown designers....
Delphine Manivet - Another of Meghan's reportedly fav wedding gown designers...
Some media outlets have speculated that Meghan's gown will be designed by Ralph and Russo
Christos gown - love the applique detail (and biased for my wedding gown designer)

Luna Novias - this would be so pretty on her!  And the back is stunning...

Luna Novias (the back of above gown)

Elie Saab - a more modern take on the lace sleeves
Reem Acra - love this feminine cap sleeve
Reem Acra - I am crazy for this petal (or are they leaves?) detail...just gorgeous...
but again, a more modest v-neck would be more appropriate

Monique Lhuillier - very sweet and romantic with a nod to the past (Downton Abbey anyone?)

Justin Alexander - such a fresh and unique take on a simple, chic silhouette with interesting cape detail
Lihi Hod - another nod to the past, yet still modern and fresh
BHLDN
Ellie Saab - this designer always has the most exquisite applique details
Marchesa - very unique and feminine ruffle detail
Carolina Herrera - I adore the detail in these floral appliques
Naeem Khan - minus the superfuous pearls, this would be stunning on her!
Tadashi Shoji - Although I do love the tiered effect perhaps on a diff gown, I would prefer to see this gorgeous top with a more simplified skirt...

What would you like to see her wear? It will be fun to see whatever she chooses! Cheers to a fun day of watching the Royal Wedding of this darling young couple!
