Mary Deutschman's "Painting the Metroparks with Color" at BayArt's Sullivan Gallery

BayArts recently opened a showing of one of my favorite local artists, Mary Deutschman, in their Sullivan Family Gallery.  "Painting the Metroparks with Color" showcases her various bright, colorful works of our beautiful local parks.  My husband and I went to dinner at nearby Vento on their quaint little patio and then walked over to view her paintings. Favorite summer date night by far!

Each one of her paintings is more beautiful than the next, but I wanted to share a few of my favorites from this show....This exhibit runs June 5 - July 3, so you still have ONE more day to view this amazing collection!

"The Cleveland Metroparks is filled with fabulous inspiration. It is referred to as The Emerald Necklace because it is a park system that surrounds the city and suburbs. It is made up of rivers, waterfalls, bridges, hills, and winding roads, bike paths, trees, flowers, picnic areas, families of deer and other wildlife. Each season is a gift. I have painted its many faces but have not yet realized all of its beauty." - Mary Deutschman
