Color lovers rejoice! I have been wanting to do a blog post on all things rainbow, as this trend has been underway for quite some time. But, I have been MIA on the blogging front all summer. Blame it on Cleveland winters, as I just can't bear to sit in front of my computer while its so beautiful outside! I think one of the first things I spotted during a family ski trip to Breckenridge last spring was a full rainbow ski suit, and so many memories came flooding back. The rainbow puffy winter vests, trim on athletic shorts, Atari, the vintage Apple computer logo, Polaroid, roller skates, moon boots, grosgrain flip flops, the list goes on. But, as a 1975 baby, they all have one thing in common. They are all a nod to the '70s' and 80's of our childhood, so many fun memories. The station wagons road trips, the sports teams, the playing-outside-in-the-neighborhood-until-dusk, the waterskiing, the slogging around in the snow, sledding, ice skating, or skiing in rainbow knit hats, boots, etc. Rainbow was simply a reference to the fun, sports, and outdoor activities of our youth, and I loved every minute of it!

Perhaps precipitated by the Pride movement as of late, it seems this trend has been infusing fashion everywhere, from kids to adults, and I am loving it!
