Summer Cocktail Recipes - Happy 4th of July!

This summer has been CRAZY busy....so unfortunately, I have been a slacker on the blog front! It is my creative food for the soul, so I have been missing it like crazy!

As we head into a (hopefully sunny) 4th of July weekend, I wanted to share some yummy cocktail recipes I have discovered recently....

Whether you are road-tripping, boating, swimming, camping, beaching, grilling, firework-watching (or all of the above)....Have a happy 4th of July and have a FUN and SAFE holiday weekend!



 






Lime in the Coconut (Topside, Cleveland Yachting Club)



Ice
1 oz Captain Morgan Coconut Rum
1/2 oz Ciroc Amaretto Vodka
1 oz Rose's Lime Juice
2-3 oz club soda (+/- to taste)

For a pitcher:

Ice
12 oz Captain Morgan Coconut Rum
6 oz Ciroc Amaretto Vodka
12 oz Rose's Lime Juice
30-35 oz club soda

White Cosmo (Country Fest, Akron)



Ice
2 oz vodka
1 oz triple sec
2 oz white cranberry
optional: top w club soda

For a pitcher:

Ice
20 oz vodka
10 oz triple sec
20 oz white cranberry
optional: top w club soda

Ryan's Italian Mojito (Vento, Bay Village)



Ice
1 1/2 oz Bacardi
2 Lime Wheels
10 mint leaves
3/4 oz Campari
2 oz Prosecco
1 oz. syrup

Muddle mint and limes in syrup. Pour Bacardi and shake. Top w Campari and Prosecco.

Knockout Bourbon Slush Punch 
(Garden & Gun Magazine, "Quick, easy, and dangerously refreshing")



6 cups water
2 cups strong tea
2 cups bourbon
1 cup sugar
1 6-oz frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 6-oz frozen lemon juice concentrate, thawed
Garnish: Mint sprigs or lemon slices (optional)

Combine water, tea, bourbon, sugar, orange and lemon juice concentrate in large bowl, mix until sugar dissolves. Pour into two gallon-size freezer bags. Freeze until 1 hour before serving. Place frozen punch in large bowl and let thaw, breaking up every 15 min. When punch is melted, add more ice or water as desired. Garnish, optional....
