Aesthetic bliss...

After a long day with three little ones, I attempt to restore order to our home after the tornado of toddlers seemingly dump every lego, puzzle piece, train, book, crayon, and car into a sea of mumbo-jumbo-ness on the living room floor....Later, as I flip through interior design publications, it is an escape into an aesthetic mecca of beautiful, organized, and peaceful rooms filled with fabulous patterns, colors, and textures. Below are a few interesting pieces, I have discovered along the way. A girl can window shop, right?

Some interesting pieces by Worlds Away...

Glass top clearly impractical with toddlers, but perhaps with an empty nest?
Texture juxtaposition via large scale basket-weave in gold metallic finish

Love the Greek Key motif!

Bring a little glam to an otherwise borning closet?

Below are a few lighting pieces from Arteriors...

Love the shape of this lamp in addition to the brown/gold color combo

And one from Currey and Company...

Some fun lighting and mirror pieces from Ballard Designs...
These sunburst mirrors are currently a bit overdone by designers, in my humble opinion, but beautiful design nevertheless!

Love mirrors arranged in a series, and fun quatrefoil design repeat...

From Z Gallerie...

These would be great on either side of a focal point (fireplace, chest, etc), particularly on a wall with little windows to reflect natural light about the room.

Some from Shades of Light...
Designed by Mary McDonald...genius designer!
