Blueberry Picking!

This morning, we had so much fun making an impromptu trip to pick blueberries.  We ran into our friends (the Russells) at swim practice, and they invited us to join them.  It was VERY hot, but the kids had a ball, and I loved every minute of it!  There is just something very therapeutic and peaceful about wandering through these blueberry fields that seem to go on for miles and miles.  The fresh smell of farmland, the beautiful vibrant blue and green colors, the sound of crunching nature underfoot, the cool/soft breeze, and ultimately the tactile delight of gathering these yummy little antioxidant-potent little fruits.  AND, to watch all of the little ones with such curiosity/excitement over the gathering/picking/treasure-hunt-esque competition over who can collect the biggest or most blueberries - it was all such fun indeed!
