The recent BHG cover of Brooke Shield's New York cottage caught my eye for the brilliant mix of neutrals with bold pops of color...Similarly, One Kings Lane recently featured photographer Gray Malin's home makeover by designer Orlando Soria, and the pair of oversized emerald green photographs of swimmers off Australia's Bondi Beach in his living room stopped me in my tracks....As in fashion, I love the idea of investing in good quality neutral basics, and switching up the vibe with accessories in various colors, patterns, and textures. The hot pink and orange combo in Shield's living room is a refreshing departure from some of the more common color schemes I have seen lately. I particularly love anything orange for the coming fall season! I collected various inspiration photos of bold pops of color below...
