We attended two CYC holiday events for kids this year. The first was the annual holiday breakfast, where families can eat brunch, ride a horse and carriage over to the Center Isle to see reindeer, meet with Santa, decorate cookies, and write a letter to Mr. Claus at the North Pole.
Secondly, for the first time, they hosted a Polar Express evening, where kids could wear their pajamas and meet with Santa, take a ride on the 'Polar Express' (a.k.a. Lolly the Trolley), hear the 'conductor' read the Polar Express story, sing Christmas carols, and then stop at the Center Isle to make a Christmas ornament. Finally, we boarded the Polar Express to go back to the clubhouse for hot cocoa, cookies, and a Polar Express movie viewing with all the children. Our little ones had a ball!
