Thanksgiving Flower Arranging 101 with "Nannie Lucia"

During our recent trip to St. Louis for Thanksgiving, we received a little flower arranging 101 with my Mom, Lucia, who is pretty creative and talented in floral design...even the kids got involved, collecting leaves, flowers, fruit, etc. for our centerpiece.

A few photos of our fun memories...

Riding the train at St. Louis Zoo

Playing with our cousins, CJ, Nathan, and Henry at the Whittle Train Store

Caroline is cozy on the couch at Nannie Lucia and Papa Carl's house...

Jack, Charlie, and Caroline collecting leaves for our centerpiece...(No, we didn't run around in PJs all day...it really was early one morning!)

The inspiration for our centerpiece, photo from a magazine...

After Lucia gave us some quick tips, including how to deal w/ the oasis, wire-wrapping leaves, fruit, etc....our final product!

On a run through our neighborhood, on my old running path...
